Electric President are a duo who have been making music for almost a full decade, and they have a new one coming out (their third) called The Violent Blue. Pre-orders for it, including on vinyl, start today so head over to CircleIntoSquare.com and listen to samples of the entire album. You can order The Violent Blue as an LP, CD, and different T-shirt bundles so you can show support while wearing it to school or work.
Mudkids appeared on WZPL Radio (Super Z 99.5) in Indianapolis, Indiana this morning, where they were able to perform “Do It Again (Go Colts)” live for all to hear. Now you can hear it by clicking here.
Maybe for a lot of you, the music and scenery is not what you might expect from an artist from Atlanta. However, Atlanta’s music scene has always been diverse and The Remnant are representatives of this city’s proud musical heritage, and they are a hip-hop crew (who say they are “rappers you can take home to mom”) that have teamed up with vocalist Scar for what they call “Know This”.
What I love about this song and video is not only The Beatles-related sample (that is indeed “Here, There & Everywhere”) but that the record in the video is being played by a Columbia GP-3 portable record player. Plus, an Atlanta music video trademark: trees.
If you like the song and want to buy the full CD, you can purchase it through CDBaby. You can also buy each song as individual MP3′s. Perhaps with Columbia GP-3 representation, The Remnant will consider releasing some vinyl this year.
