VIDEO: Lumerians’ “Crazy Horses”

Chevaux Fous from m m on Vimeo.

Give credit to any band in 2011 willing to do an Osmonds song, especially one of the good Osmonds songs. In truth, there are many but the group (and the Osmonds in general) have always been looked at negatively because they were wholesome and clean. Yet “Crazy Horses” was the exception to the rule, and many will consider it their favorite song even though they may not know (or are in denial) that it was an Osmonds classic.

This live performance by Lumerians was done live on San Francisco public access television, so you have to love that on that premise alone. Maybe there is indeed something on that Oaktown water, and there’s no reason to doubt their dosage.

The band will be releasing a new album in March called Transmalinnia, so if you like their approach, find out what the band are about by heading to Lumerians.com.

VIDEO: Reks’ “25th Hour”

The time for looking back is done, but damn if this isn’t a slight flashback to the days when the majority of hip-hop either sounded like this or at least struggled to be this good. For too many years, artists have lost the will to struggle so consider this a much needed rude awakening to the unaware. This is a new track produced by DJ Premier, so yes, stop what you’re doing, turn this up, and raise your hands. Reks is doing damage, take in all injuries and wounds.

VIDEO: theBREAX featuring Sho Baraka’s “Brilliant Realness”

theBREAX recently came out with a new mix tape last week called BREAX Over, and they’re not joking, for a mere seven days after they revealed the new music, they also reveal a new video for the song “Brilliant Realness”, a track they did with Sho Baraka.

The mix tape is free, and you can find out more about it by clicking here.

SOME STUFFS/VIDEO: Toro Y Moi is “Still Sound” enough to hit the road

Photobucket

Chaz Bundick is the man, and as Toro Y Moi he continues to make “the music”. He has created a video for the song “Still Sound”, which was shot on 8mm film, a major plus for me. Either that, or they used an 8mm film app, I don’t know (my hope is that it’s the former).

Watch the video, and then prepare for “the man” as he starts a 2011 tour that will start as winter ends. Here are the dates, mates:

VIDEO: Saigon’s “The Greatest Story Never Told”

Suburban Noize is the label that will be releasing the debut album by Saigon, and the video is the title track for the album The Greatest Story Never Told.

For another preview of the album, check out the track featuring Faith Evans, called “Clap” (8.9mb), so like Sean Paul, make it.

You can pre-order the album now via Amazon by clicking the link below.

VIDEO: Blaqstarr’s “Rider Girl”

Wow, before you hear this song, please let me apologize for making you suffer through this. I’m thinking cool, this is a new video, I want to share it with people. The repetitious vocal sample already irked the shit out of me, and then this guy starts singing. Wow. Let me just say this: wow, and I don’t mean that in a good way. I can’t believe this shit is on a major label, someone please tell me this is a joke.

SOME STUFFS: House Of Pain return for 20th anniversary tour

Photobucket
Everlast and Danny Boy O’Connor reunited as House Of Pain last year for a small amount of shows, and now they’re bringing things into 2011 with a tour.

The tour honors the 20th anniversary of their debut album on Tommy Boy Records. The promo photos do not show DJ Lethal and his image in the poster blocks out his face so it’s safe to assume he is not a part of this reunion (maybe Limp Bizkit plans to tour in 2011). Here are the dates for what they’re calling the He Who Breaks The Law tour, which will bring Big B, Slaine, and Sozay on the road as well:
