IKD-SJ are a Japanese band who are quite heavy musically, imagine System Of A Down and Queens Of The Stone Age with a slight Faith No More or Jane’s Addiction mentality. They can be very direct in their electric attack, but if you can’t understand their lyrics, they seem to be very left of center in how they create their music and present themselves.

I’m a huge fan of these guys, and it seems that I have not heard anything new from them. Either that or I’ve just been overwhelmed by other things, which usually is not the case. All of a sudden I see this and I think in a Michael Rapaport/Zebrahead manner by saying Preach Jacobs and Katrah-Quey: togetha? Yes, together, and I’m loving what they did here.
YOB are a Eugene, Oregon band who have been in existence since the mid-1990′s. After a split for a few years, they decided to come back a few years ago, and will be releasing a new album next month for Profound Lore Records called Atma (their second release for the label).
The band are now on tour, and this is a live performance from the first show in Seattle last week at Corazon. They are in Salt Lake City tonight, so check and see if they will be playing near you:
