What will Neon Indian’s music sound like? The bio says Era Extraña is an “8-bit shoegaze record… peering through the fence of a teenage apocalypse drive-in flick.” Personally, I was sold with “8-bit” but… listen and see for yourself how that translates to the real thing. It sounds like the kind of demo tapes that surfaced in the mid-1980′s that managed to turn on 17 people, as if it was waiting to mature. The song below is part of a 3-part “movement” on the album, but shows how much Neon Indian has nurtured himself in the last two ears. It’s mature.
