Cultus Sabbati have been around for a few years, but I am a foreigner to their shores, only coming across them recently when I read Christopher Weingarten‘s Spin’s Top 10 Best Avant Albums Of 2011 list. The band’s Garden of Forking Ways album is on the list, but they have since released a new EP called Woden’s Galder. “The Serpent Hewn” is from the EP, and this video is merely a collage of images to compliment/not compliment the sounds.

Regardless of what traditions you’re celebrating this year, or if it’s simply a good excuse to eat a lot of food, watch sports, wash clothes, or organize your T-shirt collection (hand up), it’s also a good time to listen to some holiday favorites.
