Fans of doom, gloomy, and sludge metal will want to be on the lookout for a very limited edition album on Loathsome, a split release between Hesper Payne and Sabazius. The album, called From Under The Alum Shale, will be an hour in duration, with each band getting about an equal amount of time between them. Hesper Payne’s two tracks run for 31 minutes, while Sabazius’ sole contribution is a massive 32 minute dirge into the harmonic unknown. Only 100 copies will be pressed up with a DVD digipak, and according to the website, 12 of these have already been sold.
