VIDEO: Patrick Watson’s “Into Giants”
A lot of people release singles, some of them unofficially. The thought is “oh, new song? It’s my new single” but really, is it? Eh, but when it comes to Patrick Watson, he means business, enough for him to take he song seriously by creating a video for it. The “it” in this case is “Into Giants”, and you might say “wait, this is a music video? It looks like a chat session I had with my significant other last night, this is a video?” Yes it is, and it’s meant to be reflective of not only feelings you may have shared, but experiences. There’s a point to it, and if the song gets into your brain like an earworm, Watson has done his job. See and hear if you agree.
The song is from his forthcoming album due out on May 1st, called Adventures in Your Own Backyard (Domino). A vinyl pressing will be made of this, along with trendy digital formats.
