VIDEO: Xenia Rubinos’ “Hair Receding”

If the song wasn’t as good as it is, the video would hold up incredibly well on its own merits.

TAKE TWO.

If the video wasn’t as good as it is, the song would hold up incredibly well on its own merits.

TAKE THREE.

Xenia Rubinos is a clever and cute video that is the day in the life of a lady and what she may do on the weekend. It may remind us of our parents and what they do on a daily basis, but perhaps where we’re all eventually headed, thus it’s a reflection of us, our families, and ourselves.

The video was directed Francesco Lettieri, who created the nine-camera set-up when this was shot in Hartfort, Connecticut with the Puerto Rican lady who is the center of the video, Carmen. It’s quite effective.

VIDEO: Hot Panda’s “Future Markets”

Hot Panda knows about the power of summer, and they’re about to release an album on July 17th with one of the funniest album covers I’ve seen in a long time. (Caution: image may be NSFW. You may now proceed to take a look.) Go Outside shows the band offering up their blend of pop and rock to create something that will drive crowds, perhaps to do exactly what their album cover shows. If so, be careful. Until then, watch the video for “Future Markets”, which is not as free as the album cover photo.

Wacky Canadians.

VIDEO: Jazzanova’s “Let It Go (Funkhaus Sessions)”

If you are a fan of Jazzanova‘s latest album, Funkhaus Studio Sessions (my review can be read here), you may be a fan of the brand new video by the band, as one was created for the song “Let It Go”. Simple in-studio performance, nicely executed.
