BANDCAMP SUGGESTIONS: KahzeeCapolatti’s “B.L.A.C.C.”

This instrumental EP came across my digital scope a few weeks ago from an online friend, but waited a bit since it will not be properly released until August. It’s a month away before its scheduled released on August 13th, but I couldn’t wait, I had to share it.
KahzeeCapolatti has created the B.L.A.C.C. EP that may seem like nothing more than cool and casual hip-hop backing tracks, but I’m listening to how it was put together. Maybe there are versions of these songs with vocals and we just have to wait, or this is merely a “resume tape” of sorts where someone will listen to these files and say “I must work with this.” They are produced quite well, mixing up different styles of soul, funk, hip-hop, and electronic sounds that may sound region specific to each person (he calls Riverdale, Georgia home), but I think it’s much bigger than that, especially “Dream Out”, which gets nasty in a futuristic and sleazy fashion, a slow jam for robots where you want to rub it for its inner thoughts.
KahzeeCapolatti has two more releases on his Bandcamp page, so check them out. For now, the only way to listen to B.L.A.C.C. is to stream the nine tracks that are up there.
