SOME STUFFS: No Spill Blood throw out the harsh sounds with new EP
Street Meat (Sargent House) by No Spill Blood sounds as harsh as the title of the EP suggest. It is distorted as fuck, so it’ll either blow your mind or make audiophiles go “this was either mixed or mastered with brickwall limiting, I will not listen to them because they are not sonically pure.” For them, the blowout sound is perfect for what they do, as it’ll make you feel like your eyes are going to bulge or make you wish you didn’t have to suffocate through that clusterfuck of sound.
No Spill Blood are an Irish band whose members come from other bands that may be familiar to you:
Lar Kaye (of Adebisi Shank)
Ruadhan O’Meara (of Magic Pockets)
Matt Hedigan (of Hands Up Who Wants To Die? and Elk)
When those bands had taken time away from each other, Kaye, O’Meara, and Hedigan decided to find out what happens when they jammed. Lots of hours of jamming lead to No Spill Blood. If the music sounds like a cross between celebrated rock and new wave bands of the 1980′s and some brutal punk from obscure Washington State villages, you’re on the money. This would have been considered blasphemous and disgusting 30 years ago, but this didn’t exist 30 years ago. It’s now, and it sounds like now music. Listen to their now music now.
