REVIEW: Jyoubei & Tree Woods’ “Natural Technology”
It’s a bit sad that you do not hear about motivational and positive hip-hop too much in 2012, as if making that type of music is too “out of the blue” for people. Jyoubei & Tree Woods are collaborating on this project and as a duo, they decided to call themselves Natural Technology, which also doubles as their first EP..
The beats on each track have a nice jazzy vihe, which shows the influence of the hip-hop artists they listened to but also the original state of jazz of the late 60′s and 1970′s. The music seemed to be an extended part of the message, and vice versa. Maybe there was a sense to write and speak this way if these rappers had a real backing band, and what you’ll hear on Natural Technology are songs that will definitely influence its listeners to do better, be better, and as the track title says, “Move Forward”.
Human hip-hop, not music made with target marketing and pie charts. As Jyoubei and Tree Woods call themselves, it’s very much about Natural Technology, for they know everything begins with the mind, and with a sharp mind can come sharp output.

The ep is AWESOME and it’s refreshing to know that there is a substantial audience for this real and true Hip-Hop which is what our youth so desperately NEEDS….or at least as a viable alternative to the gratuitous negativity being pushed by the current industry…#hotshit
