VIDEO: Philosopha’s “Relax”
Philosopha say relax, you’re quite safe here. (Bonus points if you understand the Zang Tuum Tumb in what I just wrote out.)
Last week, Philosopha made things look easy. The man is still taking it easy, and he’s showing us what he does by telling us this week to “Relax”. He is able to chill out a bit on the streets of Maywood, Illinois, at least in the video where a good portion of it was shot near the corner of Lake & NE 5th, hanging out by the train tracks and showing off what may one of his favorite rib joints. The video has a nice homemade vibe, there are shows where his face is blurred and the background is crystal clear, but I love that. Mix that with a song where he shares his ways of enjoying times of coolness and it’s quite casual. In the words of John Fogerty, Philosopha is down on the corner and out in the street being himself, no facades.
