The Listening Experience podcast #1

Today marks the debut of my new podcast called The Listening Experience. It branches off a bit from Book’s Music but I want to try a few new things in this one, which I will do in the weeks/months to come. The show remains, for the time being, 90 minutes in length although if you think it would be better if it was compacted to 60 minutes, let me know. As you can see, I don’t have a special logo for The Listening Experience so for now it’s basic.

As an old blues song once said, when it’s midnight, you turn the lights out. Charlie Cunningham understands this and gets into that mode with his song “Lights Off”, a nice folk-ish tale that could be a bit of advice or just wisdom from someone who wants to wax poetic a bit. IF you’d like to hear more, the song will appear on a new EP due out on November 17th called Outside Things. He will be touring throughout Europe for most of November, head to his official Facebook made to find out about dates.

AUDIO: Kev Brown & Hassaan Mackey’s “Hassaan Be Rappin”

When Hassaan be rapping, you want to let everyone know what they do not know. Kev Brown did this in “Hassaan Be Rappin'”, with the Hassaan in question being Hassaan Mackey, and if you miss rappers who have that monotone style in the vein of Rakim or Guru, then press play on this baby.
