I discovered this on Twitter, a blog simply called Curtis Collects Vinyl Records, over at Blogspot. It’s by a music fan named Curtis Linder, who simply loves records and wants to share his discoveries with readers. Some of them may be dollar bin gems, but the fun of going through the crates is to discover things you’ve never seen or heard.
If you live outside of the Pacific Northwest, you may not think of this area as a hotbed of graffiti. However, look at any abandoned wall, public transportation, bridges, or all of the trains one can find on our railways, and you’ll see it. Now there’s a website that will highlight the art of these graf artists, called NWGraffiti.com.
The website hopes to not only highlight these pieces, but to also discuss the work amongst admirers and its creators. They are currently looking for any and all user feedback, including photo contributions, so take a look and make yourself feel at home.
Just discovered a new jazz blog by Bret Primack, known to some as the Jazz Video Guy. His website features profiles and interviews with some of jazz’s greatest musicians, and this week he features an interview with Gary Bartz, who speaks a bit on his years with MIles Davis.
If you want to look into how certain record collectors and DJ’s got their love for vinyl, interviews with various members of The State, or some photo exhibits, take a look at DJ Sorce-1‘s blog called Heavy In The Streets. The blog features links to some of the other articles and work he has done for other websites.
