Aaron Turner has been involved in a number of bands and projects, including Isis, Lotus Eaters, and Mamiffer. Fans of his also know him for his solo project House Of Low Culture, who have released two full length albums and a small handful of singles and EP’s. In October 20, 2011, a new House Of Low Culture album surfaced in the form of Poisoned Soil, released on CD by the Belgium-based Sub Rosa label. Vinyl junkies have been wondering if the album would be released on vinyl, and it has been. Originally the release date was going to be January 31st, but Taiga Records posted a note yesterday, saying it is now available for purchase. The 3-track Poisoned Soil album was done as a 2-record set pressed on 200g vinyl, which means “thick and heavy”. The album was mastered for vinyl by James Plotkin, cut/observed by John Golden (check your liners and matrix numbers), and will be housed in a sturdy cover with printed inner sleeves. Only 500 of these were made, with 100 on “lead” (gray) similar in tone to the cover, the remaining 400 on traditional black.

You can order directly from Taiga.
