VIDEO: Nutso featuring Shabaam Sahdeeq & Royal Flush’s “Blowing Up”

When you’re people like Shabaam Sahdeeq & Royal Flush, it pays to be a bit selective in who you choose to collabrate with, unless you’re someone who thinks “eh, I don’t five a mufalakian, I’m just going to get paid”. Getting paid is great, but some chooseto keep integrity in the front of their endeavors, and that’s what they did when Nutso asked them to help him out on a song. Or at least I’d like to think they did, but listen for yourself, as it’s about him “Blowing Up”. Thank your forefathers.

REVIEW: Alterbeats’ “The French Revolution”

Photobucket A hip-hop that begins with anger has a point to make, YOU DON’T COME OFF SLAPPING PEOPLE LEFT AND RIGHT WITHOUT EXPLAINING YOURSELF!!!

Anyway, Alterbeats have released The French Revolution, bringing on a wide range of MC’s to take their music and move it into new places. This includes help from… well, look at all of the people tagged for this review. Chief Kamachi, Murdoc, Bekay, Shabaam Sahdeeq, Reef The Lost Cauze, Willie Maze, Halfabrick, Estee Nack, Sadat X. That’s an incredible wealth of artists and artistry on this, and the exchange between each of them with one or another will make you want to buy, hear, and absorb for weeks, months, and years to come.

Is it angry now? Now, this is just what hip-hop is and always will be: a celebration of beats, rhymes & life, without fear.

Maybe one would never think of putting these three together. Some of you might say “I know what of them, but never heard the other two” or “wait, I know these two, who is this guy?” Three in one: BOOM. Nutso is about to release his debut EP called Behind These Bars, and he was able to get the legendary Royal Flush and Shabaam Sahdeeq to bless the tracks with a bit of their verbal wisdom with a song produced by Mac. Chinch 33 assists with a bit of DJ’ing in the song as well.

It seems like awhile that we’ve heard any new music from Sadat X but the man is still on the flex, this time with a brand new album called Wild Cowboys II (Fat Beats), due out on March 23rd. In order to prepare, there will also be an EP released on vinyl and in digital form on February 23rd. All of the songs, according to Sadat himself, will be on the full-length.

The album will feature appearances from Pete Rock, Shabaam Sahdeeq, Rhymefest, AG, Vast Aire and M-1 of dead prez, along with a track reuniting him with Grand Puba Maxwell and Lord Jamar. Along with Pete Rock, a number of producers are helping him out for this one, including Diamond D, DJ Spinna, 9th Wonder, Sir Jinx and Buckwild among others.
